About us

Stratuscent has digitized the sense of smell. We’ve done for the nose what the camera did for the eyes and the microphone did for the ears. It took six years and some help from NASA but we did it. Now it’s time for us to bring it to the world.

People who succeed at Stratuscent have a sense of urgency, a ton of initiative, infinite curiosity, strong internal drive, and an enthusiasm for bleeding edge tech. This is a great opportunity to put your expertise into practice on exciting real-world problems and datasets with lots of character and, ehm, unique smells! Come join us and help make a positive impact by pushing the boundaries of precision agriculture, farming and healthcare while working with a truly multidisciplinary team.

The role:

We are looking for a seasoned ML Engineer who will help design, implement and test solutions on sequential data collected from our sensors with the goal of identifying patterns corresponding to volatile compounds (odors) of interest. In this role you will:

  • Build and test solutions for our customers across various use-cases and industries, closely working with the customer facing teams to understand what the business objectives are and work towards building models that meet those objectives..
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary group of stakeholders across the organization to agree on the strategy for iteratively collecting data, building, testing, deploying and maintaining machine learning models for our customers.
  • Work closely with the research team to solve complex problems and bring about research and innovation with agility when existing solutions fall short of desired objectives.
  • Support our scent generations and data annotation team to analyze datasets via relevant statistical techniques, visualizations and machine learning tools to validate the usability of the datasets and perform feasibility analysis for new use-cases.

What you need:

  • A passion for problem solving with an analytical mindset, and the drive to turn every stone to find solutions with curiosity and a deep sense of ownership.
  • Solid understanding and working knowledge of fundamental concepts in statistics, machine learning and deep learning, especially those relevant to time series and sequential data.
